Cranium Café is a brain health workshop offered on the third Wednesday of every month at twelve noon during the HCC program seasons (September, October, November and December and January, February, March, April and May). Fun brain exercises are coupled with intelligent, easy to understand brain health education. Bring your lunch; refreshments will be provided. The series is facilitated by Nanette Whitman-Holmes, Life Enrichment Director at Touchmark of Helena. Please join in for fun, education and fellowship. My Destiny is comprised of Estate/Legacy Planning workshops presented by Dr. Marsha Goetting of Montana State University’s Extension Service. Dates are announced for each program season in the Bridges’ newsletter, the Independent Record and on Helenaevents.com. The presentations are innovative and dynamic and can be life changing. Registration is REQUIRED via AARP Montana no later than Friday noon before the coming event at 877-926-8300 (mention date and name of event and location). Refreshments during the workshops are generously provided by AARP Montana. Dr. Goetting also offers an Estate Planning workshop when Alzheimer’s or dementia is present. Bridges Buffet is a monthly catered buffet lunch and program series that occurs on the first Wednesday of every month at twelve noon during the program seasons (September, October, November and December and February, March, April and May). A $5 program donation is suggested. Presenters speak about timely, appropriate and dynamic topics related to abundant second chapter living. Registration is REQUIRED via AARP Montana no later than Monday at noon before the Wednesday event at 877-926-8300 (mention date and name of event and location). This program is a twice per week event emphasizing gentle strengthening, balancing and stretching. Partcipants are encouraged to exercise within the needs and limits of their own bodies. Please bring your own mat and wear comfortable attire. The class is taught by experienced volunteers. There is no cost. No registration is required. For more information phone 442-1685. Gentle Ways is offered each Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 9:30 am to 10:30 am except on holidays. Canned good donations for Helena Food Share are suggested in lieu of a class fee. Bridges programs are life enrichment for those over fifty.
